You missed the Steel Panther show @ the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, 11/08/2013 because you watched porn movies? No big deal: The Vinyl District published some awesome photos and a review about the show.
This show at the House Of Blues on the Sunset Strip was the last show of the year and also basically the Halloween show with a lot of Fanthers who were dressed up like Steel Panther. It was a special night, because the band filmed a video for a new song called “The Burden Of Being Wonderful”. They played it 4 times and Director Kirker Butler came out several times to tell the audience how they should act. If I trust some narratives, Comedian Matt Braunger also briefly appeared for the video. After filming was done, they played their new Single called “Party Like Tomorrow Is The End Of The World“, which was published the day after the show.
Penis jokes + guitar riffs = fun.
Altogether, the band put on a hell of a show–even the event staff seemed to have a good time. You can catch Steel Panther on tour this month on May 16th in Toronto, May 19th at Rock on the Range in Columbus, Ohio, and May 25th in St. Louis, MO before the band returns to playing weekly shows at the House of Blues in Las Vegas and on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood in June and July.
The Steel Panther guys are always high on energy, know how to get the [sometimes topless] audience involved, and have perfected the 80s hair band mega-personas; it’s spot-on, genius satirical homage backed by talent and great senses of humor.
But for everyone out there that likes to have a good time or wants to experience the glory of an 80′s glam metal show, I strongly recommend that you purchase tickets today for a date on the “STD Tour.” And always remember, Death to ALL but Metal!

Albeit it for a one night stand only, their show last night (April 17) provided a much needed dose of music-inspired therapy for a strong city that’s slowly putting the pieces back together after a long and devastating week.
